In-car tech is set to be a key theme at CES 2012 and Pioneer has announced some new products
Pioneer used its press conference at CES 2012 to talk about car technology and using smartphones to do more things on the move. The company said that the connected car was a "hot topic" and unveiled some new technology to back up the claim.
Talk, as it so often is nowadays, was all about apps. Announcing an update to its App Radio service, Pioneer said that it was working to add more applications and wider support. The new App Radio will support both iPhone 4 and 4S as well as select Android smartphones with HDMI or MHL connections.
The App Radio 2 has a 7" capacitive touchscreen, Bluetooth, and can connect to rear-view cameras. It'll be priced at $499 (£323) in the US.
