At CES 2012 Toshiba unveiled a slimline tablet that runs on the Android operating system
Toshiba used CES 2012 to announce the thinnest Android tablet yet, the Excite X10.
The 10 inch tablet, so far only confirmed for the US market, is 0.3 inches (7.7mm) thin and weighs 535g - by comparison the iPad 2 weighs 601g. The Excite X10 uses the Android operating system and has a 1.2GHz dual core processor with 1GB of RAM and will come in both 16GB and 32GB models.
On the front there's a 2 megapixel camera and on the back a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash. The Excite X10 also has micro USB and HDMI ports and a Micro SD card slot.
The Excite X10 tablet will be available in the USA in the next couple of months with prices starting at $529.99 (£345).
