Like it or loathe it, Microsoft chooses to go back in time to old-style logo
Microsoft has ditched its Windows 'flag' and changed the logo for its next operating system (OS) Windows 8.
The new OS will have a graphic similar to that used for the company's very first Windows OS with Sam Moreau saying on the Windows blog that the company "did less of a redesign and more to return it to its original meaning and bringing Windows back to its roots - re-imagining the Windows logo as just that - a window," adding "we hope you enjoy our new logo".
Judging by comments on the blog some people love it while others detest the new logo.
