The Consortium claims to have details, including credit card security codes and expiry dates, of 73,000 subscribers to the Digital Playground website
A little-known hacking group, The Consortium, has stolen the personal information and credit card details of thousands subscribers to the Digital Playground porn site.
Representatives of the group, who claim to be associated with hacking group Anonymous, have been releasing subscriber login information in text documents via file sharing website Mediafire.
The Consortium has also hinted on Twitter that there will be more activity soon, saying "we are sorting through data and working on new targets. We are not going anywhere".
In total the group claims to have the details of 73,000 subscribers of the porn site, including the numbers, security codes and expiry dates for 40,000 credit cards.
Subscribers have been notified but according to The Consortium, the email addresses include 82 official .gov and .mil email addresses that were on Digital Playground's database.
Manwin, the Luxemburg-based company that owns and operates Digital Playground, also manage the Youporn website which was attacked at the end of February. At the time Sophos said the breach was a result of "sloppy practices".
A third pornographic website, Brazzers, run by Manwin, was hacked in December 2011. Manwin stated that it took over management of Digital Playground on 1 March and that it was possible the breach took place before then.
