New smartphone outselling rival that came out last year
The brand new Samsung Galaxy S3 is outselling the iPhone 4S, which came out over half a year ago.
The somewhat unsurprising news comes from price comparison site uSwitch, which claims the latest results confirm ‘Britain's love affair with Samsung'. The iPhone 4S finds itself in a Samsung sandwich with the Galaxy S3 (or SIII, as Samsung dubs it) top of the pile, the 4S in second and the Samsung Galaxy SII in third.

According to the list, which tracks the ten most popular smartphones in the UK for the month of June, Samsung makes up four of the top six. The HTC One X comes in fourth, with the Samsung Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Note in fifth and sixth respectively.
The HTC One S is in seventh with the only Windows Phone entry coming in eighth, courtesy of the Nokia Lumia 800. The list is rounded off by the Apple iPhone 4 and Apple iPhone 3G S in ninth and tenth respectively.
Speaking about the results, uSwitch said that 'price is king', with budget smartphones continuing to be popular.
