Motorola was not forthcoming with technical specifications, but it will have a 3.5inch screen, Wifi, access to the Google Play store and a three-megapixel camera to capture precious moments in questionably grainy quality.
Motorola said people worried about the weather could check out ‘vivid forecasts' and almost ‘feel the thunder tremble' from the phone.
Speaking about the wallet-concsious offering, Victoria McManus of Motorola Mobility said the phone could make life easier:
"You don't have to worry about complicated settings and hard-to-follow instructions. Just turn this smartphone on and get instant access to the people and things in your life that matter most."
The new handset will only be available on T-Mobile on a 24-month contract from £7 per month. It will cost £99.99 on pay as you go.
