HMV has opened a new type of store in Cambridge with a café, mobile charging points and free Wifi.
The new branch will have a greater focus on new technology, with a whole floor dedicated to tablets, speaker docks, MP3 players and more besides. HMV also has high hopes for its first internet café, an area in the store where shoppers can order a drink, surf the web and charge their mobile phone.

The opening of the new-look store comes as HMV continues to struggle on the high street. In August the retailer saw sales fall below £1bn for the first time since it went public in 2002. HMV said the past year had been "difficult and challenging".
Store manager Mike Barry was optimistic about the new ideas being introduced. He said: "The whole team here are really looking forward to welcoming back our regular customers as well as new visitors, who we hope will particularly like the expanded technology department and our HMV café with free Wi-Fi."
