Bitdefender Safego is a free tool that scans and blocks links to malicious websites that can be a source of PC viruses or direct you to phishing websites. Safego can be installed as an app for either Facebook or Twitter.

To install it for Facebook go to http://safego.bitdefender.com and click on 'safego on Facebook'. Click on Install App, then Go to App and then Allow to give it permission to scan your account for potentially malicious links and websites.
Safego is also integrated into Bitdefender Total Security 2013. To download your free trial click the link above. Safego for Facbook and Twitter can then be managed from your My Bitdefender account.
