OFT hopes quizzes will help shoppers avoid disputes and disappointment in run up to Christmas
With more people than ever expected to shop online this Christmas, the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has updated its guides on the Distance Selling Regulations (DSRs) and Sale of Goods Act.
To make the process of learning about your rights a bit less daunting, the agency uses multiple-choice quizzes to test shoppers' knowledge about the right approach in common shoppig scenarios - and there's a new Christmas shopping quiz.

The OFT also has a leaflet on how to get a refund or repair for faulty goods, as well as a video that explains your rights when buying gadgets and other electrical goods.
Nearly £7 bn was spent online last Christmas according to the IMRG. The trade body for online retailers said this year its research shows that up to 96 per cent of online consumers are expect to make at least some of their Christmas purchases through retail websites; with more people using their smartphones and tablets to make these purchases.
Andy Mulcahy, of the IMRG, said: "Mobiles have become an integral part of the engagement process between brands and consumers, and the roll-out of 4G is only going to increase the appeal and ease of accessing mobile internet on the move."
