Samsung has updated its laptop range with new models of both the Series 7 Chronos and Series 7 Ultra.
The Series 7 Chronos is thinner and lighter than before and has a quad-core processor. It also has a 15.6in 1920 by 1080 HD display that supports 10-point touch control.

In a nod to Apple's Macbook range the laptop has an aluminium body, backlit keyboard and slimline design. Samsung claims it has an 11 hour battery life.
Also on show at CES 2013 the new Samsung Series 7 Ultra has a 13.3in 1920 by 1080 HD display, 10-point touch control and can be specced with either a Intel Core i5 or i7 processor. It can support up to 256GB of SSD storage.

Both laptops run the full version of Windows 8. As is nearly always the case at CES, price, release dates and other useful details were not available. Given the specifications, don't expect either laptop to be cheap.
