Deal with Isposure error messages

It's OK to delete Isposure, unless you live in New Zealand

Q I am using an Acer Aspire M3640 computer with a Core 2 Duo processor and 3GB of memory. But when I’m using BT broadband I often get an error message ‘Isposure stopped working and was closed’, followed by a message that says the problem has been sent to Microsoft.

Nothing actually seems to stop working or slow down. What is Isposure, is it important and can I do anything to stop this?

David Tolputt

A Isposure is a monitoring program for internet service providers, but the strange thing is that it only works with ISPs in New Zealand. Since you live in Lincolnshire and you are using BT broadband, we have no idea how it would have got onto your computer (particularly as the computer is a desktop unit, not a laptop, and so presumably it has never been to New Zealand).

Since it’s of no use, you can uninstall it without causing any problems using the same procedure as you would to remove any other programs.

Open the Start menu and click Control Panel (or Settings, then Control Panel if you’re in Windows XP), then double-click Programs (or Add or Remove Programs in Windows XP). If you don’t see either of these options, click the text that says ‘Switch to Classic View’ on the left.

Then wait for the list of programs to appear, and scroll down to Isposure (it should be listed alphabetically), then click the option to Remove or Uninstall, whichever appears. Follow the instructions that appear on screen to uninstall the software, then restart the computer and your annoying errors should be gone.

New Zealand Acers

I have an Acer Aspire M1640 from Comet. The specification is different than what is quoted on acer site and any other UK suppliers site. On searching for the model number and spec it turns out that the equivalent is available only in New Zealand..So it is of no surprise to me that the acer in this article has software that is not UK spec. Are we getting Acers shipped from New Zealand?????
