Expand your search options for music in Spotify
If you’ve found the online music software Spotify you are probably spoilt for choice when trying to find new music, but there are several ways to make this easier.
There are some shortcuts for the search box to the left of the window, below the menus and to the right of the forward and back buttons.
You can search for specific genres with the following formula: genre:classical. Similar searches can be made with year, artist, album and track.
You can also use combinations of these searches to search for genre:classical year:1970-1975.
When you search for an artist, click on the artist’s name on the results page. This shows a biography of the artist and a list of their albums available on Spotify. To the right of the biography is a small list of similar artists.
