Jim Mcartney wants to edit movies faster on his PC with Magix Movie Edit Pro 2005. We show him how
Q I use Magix Movie Edit Pro 2005 to edit movies on my Windows XP computer. It has an AMD Duron processor with 1GB of memory and a 40GB hard disk.
Is there any way to improve the speed that the computer exports video? At the moment it takes about 20 minutes to export one minute of AVI video.
This means it takes a long time to complete a video of any length. Should I use different software?
Jim Mcartney
A Given the age and specification of your computer, the time it is taking you to render video is unlikely to be improved that much.
It would be best to upgrade the memory in the computer. If you need help choosing the right memory visit Kingston or Crucial.
The size of your hard disk may also be holding the computer back and a new one could help.
Unfortunately, neither of these upgrades will make a huge difference and a new computer is really the only option if you want to create videos quickly.
