Portable Thunderbird makes mobile email easier
If you want to use Thunderbird on more than one computer with the full history of emails on each of them but without using an IMAP email service, use Portable Thunderbird. This works just like the normal Thunderbird but can be installed on a USB key or a folder on the desktop.
When I am about to move to another computer, I copy the Thunderbird folder
from Desktop onto the USB key and then onto the Desktop of the computer I am
going to be working on. If a folder has already been copied onto the Desktop I
rename it to include the date of the last time it was updated and keep it as a
backup.
All the account settings are saved within the folder so there is never any need
to enter them a second time.
