Backup is not a particularly sexy word. It implies hard work and tedium.
It’s necessary, though: none of us are immune from computer failure, so it’s always worth having a recent backup handy. The Clickfree Transformer SE is one product that should make things less painful. It uses your iPod or iPhone as a backup device.
You do have to have your iPod USB cable with you, as the Clickfree device only has a USB socket on it, but once you’ve plugged the iPod into the Transformer and the Transformer into your computer’s USB port, it will start the built-in backup software and kick off your backup. As well as working with all dock-compatible iPods, the Clickfree Transformer SE can be used with any external hard disk or USB storage device.
That’s very similar to the standard Clickfree Transformer we looked at recently, although the bonus with this one is that, of course, it works with your iPod too.
