Microsoft Photo Info tool makes it easy to view and edit information attached to digital photographs. We show you how
Modern computer users are likely to have a large collection of digital photographs and other images stored on their hard drives.
Working out how to organise these images can be tricky, but there are numerous programs available that can take advantage of something called Exif information. This is created by digital cameras to enable users to perform searches and sorts based on photo properties, such as the date snaps were captured and the camera settings which were used at the time.
Microsoft Photo Info makes it possible to not only edit the information created by your digital camera, but also to add a range of additional information to help make it even easier to organise and find your images. It is also possible to edit the properties of image downloaded from the internet if you want to include them in your collection.
In the Workshops section of Computeractive issue 241 we demonstrate how to download and use this program. So, refer to the magazine and then click to transfer to the Photo Info download page over at Microsoft's website.
