Chris Edwards asked how to save one page of a three-part spreadsheet document
Q I regularly have to print and send off a three-page Excel file to clients and save all these files on my hard disk.
As I only need to save the first page, it’s a waste of space to have to save the second and third pages. Is there an easy way to just save the first page of the spreadsheet.
Chris Edwards
A Unless there are lots of images in the spreadsheets, the second and third pages of the spreadsheet are unlikely to be taking up much room on the computer.
The simplest solution we can think of is to save the second and third sheets in a separate Excel file and print that. If you don’t need to make any changes to a document before printing, right-click on it in a Windows Explorer window and left-click on Print.
If there are good reasons for keeping the file in one piece until after it has been sent to a client, there is a quick way to send the first page to a new file.
Right-click on the sheet tab at the bottom of the Excel window and then left-click on Move or Copy… Click on the down arrow in the To book menu and left-click on (new book). Tick the ‘create a copy box’, or the sheet will disappear from the first worksheet.
