Make Screentips shorter or delete them completely
If you prefer a minimalistic desktop with shortcut icons for programs placed on the quick launch taskbar, you may be irritated by the lengthy Screentips that open as the mouse pointer moves over the icons.
To remedy this, right-click on the offending icon and left-click on Properties in the menu. Make sure that the Shortcut tab is selected and click in the text box labelled Comment. Either enter a shorter description or delete the text.
