Get into your email account from more than one place
If you want to access your Google Mail from more than one place, consider using Imap with Thunderbird rather than Pop3. Messages are always left on the server and tags will appear as separate folders.
Click on Settings and then on Forwarding and Pop/Imap. Select Enable Imap at the bottom of the window, click on Save Changes and then Configuration Instructions for instructions for setting up your email software.
It is also a good idea to set Thunderbird to download the complete messages. Click on Tools and then Account Settings. Click on Offline & Disc Space in the email address section and select Make messages in my Inbox available when I am working offline.
