We explain how to transfer your photos to an SD card
Q How can I copy photos onto an SD memory card to use in a digital photo frame?
John Dales
A The first step is to physically connect the SD card to the computer. Many laptops and desktops come with memory card readers so there may already be one on the computer. Otherwise, they are cheap to buy, Dabs has one for just £2.
Once the card has been inserted into the reader it will then be treated by Windows as if it was a USB memory key. Drag and drop photos onto the SD card to copy them.
It is important to remove the card properly when you have finished. Just unplugging it may interrupt the copying process even though there are no visible indications that it is continuing.
Left-click on the Safely Remove icon in the Notification Area and then click again on the entry in the menu for the SD card. The card can now be removed and inserted in the digital photo frame.
