It’s not easy to remember personal identification numbers, or Pins. Here’s a foolproof method

The introduction of Chip-and-Pin technology means that our financial security is determined by our memories.

Banks tell us not to write down personal identification numbers but forgetfulness can mean an inability to make cash withdrawals.

Well, we’re going to show you a simple and secure way of recording a Pin by converting the number into a four-letter word, which should be easier to remember.

We’ll use Excel to produce a reminder card that uses this single word as an unlock code for all your Pins.
