Keep the word processor's cursor at the size you want
Sometimes the cursor in Word shrinks in size, which is annoying. This problem is related to the default template in Word. To remedy this, you may need to enable View Hidden Folder first.
Click on the Start button and then My Computer. Click on Tools and then Folder options. Click on the View tab and then the option ‘Show hidden files and folders’. Click on OK. To restore the cursor, make a small change to the normal.dot template and save it.
It can normally be found in: C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\
Application Data\Microsoft\Templates. Click on the Format menu and then Font.
Change the font and click OK. Press Ctrl and S to save the change and close
Word. When Word is started again the cursor should be back to normal.

Zoom
My cursor shrank after I reduced the page zoom to 50% and then back to 100%. I fixed it by increasing the zoom to 500% and then back to 100%.
