Is Guitar Hero: World Tour the most rocking video game of the year?
Activision's Guitar Hero has been around for a while, but it's only in its latest incarnation, World Tour, that it has added more instruments. The World Tour band pack comes with drums and a vocal microphone.
It's a challenge to EA's rival Rock Band, which arrived in the UK earlier this year. Both games feature the same instruments and - pretty much - the same gameplay: you play along with rock songs as they're shown on screen (and heard on your speakers).
The notes - or drum rhythm - appear as coloured buttons, and all you have to do is match them with the coloured button or pad on the instrument you're playing. Or, if you're singing, holler along with the words shown.
