Don't spend ages searching through desktop folders
If you have too many files on your Desktop or other folder viewed in Windows Explorer, it is annoying to search through them to find the one you want.
A quick way to find a file or icon if you know its name is to press the keyboard key of the first letter or figure in the title. As soon as you do so, the first icon starting with that letter will be selected and highlighted. It will also reveal the full name of the icon if it spans several lines and is obscured by another icon.
If it is not the one you want press that key again to move through the names in alphabetical order. Continue until you find the one you want. For example, on my Desktop, pressing R first highlighted the Recycle Bin. A second press selected a folder called Royals. You can also tap more than one letter to define the file you want.
