We fix a problem with setting up reminders using the free Followupthen service
Q I tried to use the Followupthen email-alert service but when I try to send an email to set up an alert, Hotmail says there are ‘typos’ in front of @ in the email address. Can you help?

A The screenshot that you sent to us does mention typos but it also highlights the need to use the correct format for email addresses. You had typed January27@followupthen into Hotmail’s To field – and this is not a valid email address, because it does not contain Followupthen’s full domain name after the @ symbol.
The correct domain name for Followupthen is followupthen.com. So, the email address to type in the To field is January27@followupthen.com (though obviously you will want to change the date for each new alert).
