If you find texting via touchscreen or keypad difficult, as long as you use a Nokia mobile phone, its Ovi software makes it easy to send and receive
If you find a phone keypad or touchscreen uncomfortable, it is possible to send and receive text messages using your computer with the Nokia Ovi software, assuming that you have a Nokia phone of course.
Start the Ovi suite and connect your phone to the computer. This can be done via a cable or with Bluetooth. Both are quite reliable with Nokia phones but cables are best if you have one. Once the phone has connected to the computer (click on Tools, then Add new device if this is the first time), click on the icon of an envelope to see the messaging options.
Sending a message is as simple as clicking in the message box at the upper right of the Ovi Window and typing. It can span a long message over several texts. Click on Add recipient, enter the number and click on Close. Click on Send.
As long as the phone is connected to the computer a message will pop up when a text message is received.
