The Selective Sync option of Dropbox lets you chose which folders to leave out to save space when synchronising them across several networked computers
Dropbox is a useful tool for keeping work up to date across different computers but if you connect a computer with little storage it could quickly fill up.
The Selective Sync option lets you leave folders out so they won’t take up too much space. This is also handy for saving time if that computer connects to the internet via mobile broadband, which is slower than ordinary broadband.
If Dropbox is already installed on the computer, right-click on its icon in the Notification Area and left-click on Preferences. Click on the Advanced tab and then the Selective Sync button. The Advanced view lets you choose which folders to synchronise. Click on OK when you are happy with the changes.
