If you can't hear the phone ring on your Skype calls it could be that the tone is routed to your headset. Just a few mouse clicks will get it back to full volume
If you have missed calls on Skype because you didn’t hear the ring tone it could be because Skype is ringing through your headset rather than the main computer speakers. But this is an easy setting to adjust.
Double-click the Skype icon in the Notification Area to make the Skype window appear. It looks like a white tick on a green background. Click on the Tools menu and then on Options. Click on the Audio settings button – the second button down on the left in the General section. Click on the dropdown menu labelled Ringing and select the sound device connected to your speakers rather than the headset.
Don’t forget to give the new settings a go before a call comes in by clicking on the Make a free test call link at the bottom of this window. Click on Save when you are happy with the changes.
