Facebook is sending fewer emails notifying you of activity on the site. However, it is possible to go into your Account settings and customise what gets sent to you
Facebook recently reduced the number of email notifications it sends users. It is possible to reverse this change if you would prefer to get updates this way.
Click on the downwards pointing arrow next to Home at the very top right of the Facebook page. Click on Account Settings. Click on Notifications in the left hand column.
There is a grey box on the right of the page that says ‘Email Frequency: Send me important updates and summary emails instead of individual notification emails’ and click in the box to remove the tick.
Click on the Edit link in the Facebook row in the All notifications section to show all of the available options.
Select the events for which you would like to receive notifications and click on the Save changes button. You can also select notifications for other areas of Facebook on this page.
