Word has an option to check type in upper case, one to ignore the spelling in addresses and another to check contextual spelling, for instance more and moor
Word has several rules about when it will check the spelling in documents. Adjusting these is useful if you often have to write in all capitals and have found that misspellings are being ignored.
Click on the Office button in the top left-hand corner and then on Word options. Click on the Proofing entry in the left-hand column to see all the spelling options.
The top option should be deselected if you want to check the spelling of words all in upper case for example. The option to ignore internet addresses should be left selected.
The section below is used to control the spelling and grammar checks that happen in the background as you type. The contextual spelling is the blue wavy line that indicates a correct spelling in the wrong context, such as using ‘there’ instead of ‘their’.
Click on the OK button when you are happy with the changes.
