Forums often fix a date after which posts are no longer displayed. However, there is an easy way of getting these older comments back on to your screen
Sometimes it can seem like forums have deleted older posts, or even that a section of a forum is completely empty of posts. This has happened to me on many forums, including the Computeractive forum.
The cause of this is that, to avoid presenting people with too many posts, the forum software only shows posts from within a set time period. If this is too short, then posts may get hidden.
To see posts from a longer period of time, scroll to the bottom of the forum page and look for a box called Display Options. Look for a dropdown menu labelled ‘From The’ and click on it to see the different options. Select a longer time period and click on the Show Threads button.
