The Styles and Formatting window allows you to set up many different options
I recently had to change a long Open Office Writer document to double-line spacing and found that the easiest way to do this was by modifying the Default style that I had used to write the main text with. I had already used the Heading styles to make the Table of Contents at the beginning of the document.
To change your text to double spacing, press F11 to make the Styles and Formatting window appear. Most likely you have been using the Default style so right-click on the Default text and then left-click on Modify.
Click on the Indents & Spacing tab. The Line spacing option is towards the bottom of the windows. Click on the dropdown menu and select Double. Click on OK and the change should be made to the entire document.
You may need to go back and change the spacing of the Heading styles to apply this to the titles as well.
