Make notes for other people working on a file in the free text-editing software
It is possible to insert comments in a Libre Office Writer document as a reference to others working on the text. They appear to one side, like in Word, with the author and time included in the comment box.
To add a comment, click with the mouse or use the cursor keys to move to the section you want to comment on. Click on the Insert menu and then Comment. Alternatively, press Ctrl, Alt and C. Type the comment, then click in the main body of the document to resume editing.
Set your name in Libre Office so it is clear who has added the comment. Click on the Tools menu and then Options. Make sure User Data is selected in the left-hand column under Libre Office and add your details in the main part of the window.
