Simple clear advice in plain English

Where is the Firefox menu?

There is a difference between the Firefox menu and the Firefox Menu

Firefox menu
It can be found in the orange tab at the top-left of your screen

Q Your answer to Trevor Hindle's question, asking why Firefox won't display maps, told him to open ‘the Firefox Menu’. I cannot find Menu in my version of Firefox – I have included a screenshot. Where is Menu? I am using Windows 7 and my Firefox version was last updated in mid-April. Could that be the problem?

A We’re not often pedantic but here it matters. We in fact told Mr Hindle to open ‘the Firefox menu’, not ‘the Firefox Menu’. In other words, to open the menu labelled ‘Firefox’, not ‘Menu’. With that clear, the Firefox menu is at the very top left of the Firefox program window. Indeed, it is present in the screenshot you sent, coloured orange, with the small down-pointing arrow alongside.

Enabling the Firefox button

The Single button Firefox menu can be disabled and so it sounds like that is what has happened on your computer. Click on the View menu, Toolbars and then on Menu Bar. The traditional menu bar will disappear and the orange Firefox button will appear in its place. To restore the old menus, click on the orange Firefox button, hover over Options and then click on Menu bar in the sub menu that appears Hope that helps Kind regards Tim, Computeractive
