Those familiar with previous versions of the software will recognise the interface, which has retained its clear layout. The main options are displayed across the middle, with more a couple of clicks away. The order of items displayed here can be changed too.

At the top of the interface is the main status icon, which lets users know that everything is okay on their system. If there's a problem it will turn orange or red. Settings and updates can also be accessed easilly, so keeping the software working how you want is simple.
A new feature of Bitdefender Total Security 2013 is the security widget. This gives users easy access to some of the most important features without needing to open up the full software. Files can be dragged and dropped on to the widget to be scanned and it also shows how hard the scanner and firewall tools are working.
One of the most interesting updates is Bitdefender Safepay. This is a special browser that works in isolation from the Windows operating system. It is designed for when people need to pay for something online. The Safepay feature displays a pop-up window when a user attempts to pay for something online or log in to online banking. People can then use the Safepay browser to complete the transaction more securely.

Looking for Internet Security at the mo
I'm looking for a good non-free Internet Security suite and Bit Defender 2013 sounds great. I really, really like the secure browser buying function. Plus the widget where individual files can be dropped into it for scanning, that will be very useful. I've just got a Win 8 machine and I don't like the Security company that came pre-installed. I really like the sound of Bit Defender which seems to have all the features plus more that I would need. I know that Norton has a special offer at the moment so I'm hoping BD will not be too pricey. But I can already guess it's going to be less expensive than what came with my Laptop. I'll look into it and make sure it is compatible with Win 8. Thank You!

Update: Bit Defender is Brilliant!!
Thanks CA for introducing me to Bit Defender! I shopped around and I managed to get a very good deal. This Security suite is Magic! The SafePay browser feature is great, you can even bookmark sites that come up as a 'speed dial' in the browser. The Widget is so handy for scanning files, folders with its simple drag n drop. Plus it alerts you to any issues. I am really pleased with it and very impressed! I think it's the best Security suite going. If it weren't for your video and review I know I would have made a mistake going with another company. My advice to everyone is to get it but to shop around for other Bit Defender offers.
