How to install and then remove software from your computer
We're going to demonstate how easy it is to install the popular Firefox browser in Windows 8 to replace or complement the Internet Explorer app.
From the Windows Start Screen, click on the Internet Explorer tile.

Click in the address bar at the bottom of the screen. Type www.firefox.com and press enter.
When the Firefox page has loaded, click on the green download button in the centre of the page.
Click on Save at the bottom of the screen and then Close when the download has finished.
Press the Windows key to return to the Start Screen and then click on Desktop.
Click on the Windows Explorer shortcut in the Taskbar. Click on Downloads in the Favorites section on the left.
Double click on the Firefox program to start the installation wizard. Click on yes when the user account control window appears and then follow the rest of the installation wizard, leaving the default settings as they are.
Notice the alert at the top right hand corner of the screen that windows has detected a new browser.
Returning to the Start screen by pressing the Windows key, you'll notice that there is now an entry for Firefox. Click on this to start Firefox.
If you change your mind about a program you can uninstall it just like a Windows 8 app. Right-click on the tile on the Start screen and then click on Uninstall. The Programs and Features window will appear. Find Firefox, click on it and then on Uninstall to remove it
If you ever want to go to the Programs and Features window direct just type Programs from the Start screen, click on Settings and then Programs and Features.
