Iomega runs a data-recovery service for those who own its old products
Q I was interested to read your answer to Alec Bull’s question about reading floppy disks. I have a large amount of data stored on Iomega Zip 250 disks. Can you offer any assistance in finding a bit of kit to help me retrieve my stuff?

A Our answer is essentially the same – you should be able to pick up a suitable (Iomega Zip 250) drive from the likes of Amazon or Ebay. However, it is unlikely you’ll find a brand-new product, so you’ll have to settle for a working second-hand drive.

Alternatively, Iomega itself runs a data-recovery service for owners of its outmoded media. It doesn’t quote prices for this service on the fair basis that every case is different but we don’t imagine the cost would be high to recover data from a few disks that are in good condition. You can find out more about this service on Iomega's removable disk data recovery page.
