Plustek OpticFilm 7200

Scan your negatives or slides

With digital cameras still a relatively new concept, many of us still have boxes of photo negatives sitting around. Getting these into digital format can be a long slog if you haven't got the right equipment.

Plustek's OpticFilm 7200 film scanner is unlike a flatbed scanner in that it is supplied with holders for negatives or mounted slides, which can be inserted into the scanner.

When using the supplied software, image quality is good enough for home prints, though not up to the standard of expensive professional scanners.

The scanner will work with just the drivers and the basic QuickScan software, but the more advanced LaserSoft SilverFast program will try to make the optimal adjustments for you and allow you to adjust various settings.

The OpticFilm 7200 is incredibly good value and great for digitally restoring or printing some of those treasured pictures.
