A top performing graphics card.
With a glut of graphics cards on the market, you'd be forgiven for getting confused, especially with new models appearing every month. The Hercules 3D Prophet 9600 is powered by ATI's Radeon chip and while cheaper than many others in its family, it still achieves excellent results.
Our lab tests found the card to perform well in a number of graphics tests, suggesting it will be able to support the latest games for the next few years.
It has 256Mb of memory, which means games will run smoothly in higher quality modes.
We put the card through its paces using the latest Battlefield 1942 expansion pack and it performed very well, even at high-resolution settings with many advanced features turned on.
The card has analogue, digital and S-video outputs, allowing images to be pumped out to two monitors or a TV. It offers a maximum resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 and is fully compatible with the latest DirectX 9 software. It's expensive but not overpriced and will mean your PC will be able to play the latest games for at least a couple of years.

Twitter is great on smartphones, but awful on Windows Phone 7
Voice over IP. The routing of voice conversations over the internet, which is cheaper than the telephone...
