Directory Opus 8

A number of enhancements for Windows Explorer

Directory Opus 8 takes Windows Explorer and gives it an overhaul, making it easier and faster to manage the files on your computer.

You might not even realise that you use it but when you open My Computer or My Documents, it's Windows Explorer showing your files.

Opus 8 offers several extra 'views', such as displaying folders side by side, which is useful when copying files, and it can connect to FTP sites to upload or download files, something you are most likely to use if you have a website.

Support for Zip files is built in and there are shortcuts for sending files to Microsoft Office and Nero Burning Rom. It can also make advanced searches of your hard disk.

If you have never been frustrated by Windows Explorer, then Opus 8, at £35, is unlikely to appeal to you. However, if you are curious, you can try a free demo before you buy.
