Photos on TV

It can be hard to interest people in your photos - even if you've just come back from holiday with a memory card full of fascinating pictures.

You can avoid boredom by using Photos on TV to put together an all-singing, all-dancing picture show on your telly.

With this program you can import pictures from a digital camera, camcorder, scanner, or from your hard disk, add sounds and transition effects and then copy the whole lot to a CD or DVD to view on a DVD player or computer.

If your pictures need a bit of touching up before you're comfortable unleashing them on the world, Photos on TV includes editing software with features such as red-eye removal and colour correction.

One of the most impressive transition features is the morphing capability. In addition to the usual fades, wipes and cuts that you can set up between two pictures, you can morph two photos into one another. Unlike a fade, a morph involves actually changing one image into another - a technique made famous by films such as Terminator 2. You need to tell the program which bits of the first image correspond to which bits of the second image and for that reason, it's obviously best to use two similar images, otherwise you can end up with some very odd results.

Once you've chosen your desired pictures, selected your transitions and add music and sound effects.

Burning the disc is quite easy - click on the 'Create Disc' button and you will be taken to the second part of the program. Here you can set up DVD-style menus to help people navigate through the disc. A handy simulation of a remote control is provided so you can test exactly how well your navigation works.

While it is certainly possible to burn a photo disc without programs such as this, Photos on TV provides an all-in-one solution with some handy extra features that will help you hold your viewers' attention.
