Simple clear advice in plain English

Palit Geforce 6200 TurboCache

This graphics card makes use of system memory

Using system memory for graphics is generally restricted to notebooks but the Geforce 6200 TurboCache uses this for its desktop PC add-on graphics card. This keeps the cost down as there are no expensive memory chips on the card.

While the card takes a share of your system memory (it limits itself to a maximum of half) we wouldn't recommend it unless you have at least 512Mb of memory.

The card uses the PCI Express slot inside the PC and has analogue and digital outputs as well as an S-Video output for use with a TV. It performed well and coped with the recent Far Cry and had no problems with the older Unreal Tournament 2004 but it is not for the dedicated gamer.

The GF6200 TurboCache has a heat sink instead of a fan to keep it cool. This makes it ideal for keeping your computer quiet, although the case must be well ventilated to avoid overheating.
