Simple clear advice in plain English

MySIMeditor

Backup all the data on your SIM.

If your mobile phone has ever been lost or stolen, you'll appreciate how frustrating it is to lose all your phone numbers and additional records. With MySIMeditor, you can backup all the data on your SIM to your PC just in case the worst happens.

Installation is not as clear-cut as we'd expect, as you need to install the software and card reader drivers separately, which can take a little time. Once done, though, the card reader connects to your PC via USB and all you have to do is insert your SIM in the slot.

The main window of the software opens with a menu of options. The categories include phone book, SMS and security and it's easy to switch between sections. The phone book editor uploads all your contact information from your SIM and lets you manage and update any details. Changes are not saved automatically, though, so you need to remember to save any updates made. The menu options are similar for the SMS editor and security sections too.

A really useful feature is card-to-card copy, handy for when you upgrade your phone or change contract and need a quick and easy way to transfer your data.
