DigiGuide

An electronic TV guide

You can watch TV on your PC, and over the internet, but it's hard to get hold of television listings electronically. If you have Sky or cable there's the built-in electronic programme guide, or you can use a TV guide.

DigiGuide wants to change the way you watch TV by allowing you to check show times and details over the internet.

vOnce installed, DigiGuide connects to the net to download programme information for nearly 400 channels, including cable, satellite, terrestrial, Freeview and radio.

You can then browse the listings, view highlighted programmes or types of programme and search for actors and presenters. It's an impressive program that runs smoothly, and the listings are comprehensive.

After the free 30-day trial, it costs £9 a year. It's not a lot compared to the price of TV guides for a year, but may be best suited to sofa surfers.
