Simple clear advice in plain English

Siemens M55

A mobile phone from Siemens which will bring out the music composer in you.

The M55 is pretty much what you would expect to find in a phone these days. It's small, light and includes a calendar, support for Java, a colour screen and tri-band capability, so you can use the phone anywhere in the world. You can even send MMS messages, although you will need to buy a Siemens QuickPic camera and clip it onto the bottom of the phone.

There are two fun features that make the M55 stand out from the crowd. First, a pair of red lights sit on both the left and right edges of the casing. These can be set to flash in various configurations for various purposes, such as to alert you to incoming calls, alarms, and when the battery is low.

More useful, although more annoying to friends and family, is the built-in Cubasis composing software from Steinberg. You can use this to create your own tunes, which can then be shared with users or applied to your own M55. It's fun, but we doubt that Mozart would approve.

These two inno-vations make the M55 the ideal fun phone, and while it has to be noted that we found the small size and irregular shape of the keys a tad pesky, it is rather enjoyable to use.
