A compact and handy travel mouse
Travel mice are a good idea for those with notebook computers, but manufacturers often make them too small for most people's hands, making them more difficult to use.
The Logitech V400 is slightly bigger than most travel mice, which is a good thing for most of us, as it fits the average hand quite well. The larger form also gives a little room to store the wireless receiver, which connects to a PC's USB socket. When not in use, it slides neatly into a slot on the back of the mouse.
It's a laser mouse, which means there's no annoying LED light from the base. It also in theory makes it more accurate, although that's not a big deal for most of us, who use it for office and internet tasks.
Installation was as simple as possible – just plug the receiver in and pop a battery into the mouse. You can install the software to activate the up and down buttons mounted on top of the mouse, but the scroll wheel worked fine in any case.
