Unlike DVD, VHS tapes will deteriorate in quality if they're watched regularly. Video Clean helps by providing the tools to clean up VHS tapes and transfer them to CD or DVD. You can also import other video files, such as low-quality movies downloaded from the internet.

With its basic main screen, Video Clean doesn't take long to get the hang of. Simply import video from your hard disk, or capture it direct from your camcorder, then use the controls either side of the preview pane to modify the footage.

With just 12 enhancement tools, ranging from colour correction to de-flicker effects, you might be left wanting a little more. There's no auto-adjust mode so you have to apply the enhancement tools yourself. Video Clean also comes with DVD Creator, which allows you to export video to CD or DVD. While this has some useful DVD creation tools, it won't help you improve the quality of your video.

The problem with Video Clean is that while it's easy to use and a good price, there aren't enough tools to clean your video effectively.[QQ]
