Route 66 Navigate Britain

Use this software to help you get around Britain.

The handheld computer has proven itself more than capable of turning its hand to satellite navigation. Navigate Britain from Route 66 combines PC and Pocket PC software to take full advantage of this. The box contains all you need bar the cable that plugs into the Pocket PC. Due to the huge number of models on the market, you need to fill out a coupon to get the correct cable posted.

On the PC front, it's a standard-looking route planner. Just put in your waypoints (destinations) using the excellent search engine and pick the fastest route. Once a route has been planned it can be exported to your handheld. This keeps the file size down and means more routes can be stored in the memory. Full maps can also be created.

The Pocket PC side of things is a doddle to use. Only the points-of-interest feature (petrol stations, shops, etc) is a little tricky. Once moving, the clear display and handy voice instructions ensure you won't get lost.

For the price, it's a great piece of software and worthy of any driver's attention.
