A graphics cards aimed at gamers
The XFX GeForce 6600 GT is aimed at gamers who want great performance when running the latest games. It's one of the first AGP cards to feature nVidia's popular 6600 GT graphics technology, previously restricted to newer computers with PCI Express.
You'll need to open your computer's case and install the card manually. The instructions included in the package aren't very clear, so you may need to consult your PC manual if you aren't confident with upgrades.
Once up and running, the XFX GeForce 6600 GT worked very well. It allows you to run highly demanding games such as Half-Life 2 or Far Cry smoothly, even with most of the complicated graphics effects switched on.
Graphics can become jerky at the highest resolutions, but the card is great in most circumstances.
Given its price, the GeForce 6600 GT is a solid graphics card that will handle all the latest games.
A good, and relatively affordable, way of upgrading your graphics
