A dedicated CD/DVD label printer

CD and DVD labelling can be annoying, but if you are burning discs to give to people, it would be nice to add a touch of professionalism to the disc, rather than just scrawling on it.

Casio's answer to the problem is a dedicated label printer which prints directly onto the top surface of the disc. It's quick, neat and better looking than stick-on labels, or writing with a pen.

You can operate it without a computer, but for best results, load the supplied software and plug it into your PC's USB port. Then you can use all your PC's fonts, which will be much better than the printer's built-in ones.

It can print pictures, albeit not very well, but the text quality is superb on a suitable disc. It won't work that well on coated discs, but for all other smooth types it produces a durable, waterproof and scratchproof label.

It can be fiddly, as you have to position the disc yourself and rotate it if you want to print in more than one place, but for those who make a lot of discs to give out or sell, it's excellent.
